Not a plaque. Not a moment of silence. An ordinary Tuesday, given back to an officer who thought he had lost all of them.
Morning
This year, 500 injured officers woke up to a day that moved forward instead of standing still - across twelve states, through three national deployments.
The Wounded Blue is the only national nonprofit in the country dedicated exclusively to law enforcement officers injured or disabled in the line of duty. Not the fallen - the ones still here, and mostly forgotten.
Every one of our peer support advocates has been shot, stabbed, beaten, run over or broken by the job. That is the entire qualification.
Midday - help arrives
One door for every injured officer we helped in 2026, grouped by the state they called from. The blue doors have a story behind them.
0 of 500 doors open. Twelve states. Three national deployments. No door is a dollar amount and no door is a name we did not have permission to use.

Afternoon - life in motion
Sixteen surgeries. Told he would not walk again.
Peer support, medical navigation, and a team that would not let go.
He walked his daughter down the aisle, then danced with her.

The 99¢ promise
The last one keeps the phone line lit. We put the filings next to the number, because a promise you cannot check is a slogan.
Ways to give
There is no government money in this organization. Individual people, month after month, are the reason the phone gets answered at all.
Steady, predictable support - the kind that lets us answer the phone in February, not just after a headline.
The original monthly gift. Nine dollars and eleven cents, every month, for the officers who ran toward it.
A single gift goes to work the week it arrives.
Name the officer. We will tell the family.
Evening - in their own words
Our entire team is made up of cops who have been shot or stabbed or beaten or run over - and they've come out on the other side. Randy Sutton

A Blue Guardian gives every month. That is what turns one good day into the next one.
Are you an injured officer, or someone who loves one? Call 833-TWB-TALK and an officer who has been through it answers. This is peer support, not an emergency service - in an emergency call 911, and in a mental-health crisis call or text 988.
